OMBG
Our History

1947
Ombg's know-how dates back to 1947, when Romolo Boccalerio, father of the current sole director, founded a small mechanical engineering company specialising in the production of high-precision parts for the aeronautical and metalworking markets.

1981
In 1981, Remo Boccalerio took over from his father and, within a few years, converted the company to the sanitary tap market and, more specifically, to thermostatic mixers.
1986
In 1986, Ombg filed a patent for a thermostatic cartridge, which determined its success, earning it the reputation of being the forerunner of the ‘thermostatic’ system.

1992
Another important turning point for the company came in 1992, when the new, modern factory in Bolzano Novarese was built, which is still the company's headquarters today.
The original factory in Gozzano carried out the initial mechanical processing using transfer machines and produced thermostatic cartridges. The actual tap, however, took shape at the Bolzano Novarese factory, where the final processing, checks and shipping took place.

TODAY
Ombg currently has around fifty employees, and its products are valued and appreciated worldwide. Ombg is ISO 9001 certified and holds several patents, including invention, utility and ornamental patents. Ombg products are also certified by major international control bodies, including IAPMO, WRAS and KIWA.
The company boasts a wide range of products which, in addition to thermostatic mixers, includes single-lever mixers, pressure-balanced mixers and special applications for the healthcare industry, hospitals and disabled facilities. The technical staff is currently working on other innovative and technologically advanced solutions that will ensure Ombg a leading role in the tap market in the future.
